FDA ban on flavored cigarettes A letter rec'd from Phillips & King International, Inc.

September 18, 2009 IMPORTANT REMINDER A reminder to ALL of our valued customers: All flavored cigarettes including Djarum clove cigarettes and Dreams imported cigarettes MUST be off the shelves of retail stores and out of distributor/wholesale commerce by the end of the day Monday September 21, 2009. Please make sure you take the appropriate action to meet the terms of this aspect of the FDA ban on flavored cigarettes with a characterizing flavor other than tobacco or menthol. It is our understanding that the FDA will be sending field agents out to the industry on check-visits that could result in fines and seizure of product.
